About the course

A full-time business degree taught and assessed entirely in English, covering international management, with specialisations in International Management and Leadership, International Accounting and Finance, or International Marketing and Sales. The sixth and final semester is a compulsory internship of at least 15 weeks, and an exchange semester is optional.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • FH Wiener Neustadt asks for a completed secondary school qualification or its equivalent, and it publishes no specific rules for the Irish Leaving Certificate. In Austria, each institution decides whether a foreign school-leaving certificate is equivalent to the Austrian Reifeprüfung, and some look at the number of subjects and how many were taken at Higher Level. Confirm with FH Wiener Neustadt admissions how your Leaving Certificate subjects and grades (H1-H8, O1-O8) will be assessed.
  • The admission procedure has three parts: a presentation, a computer-based standardised aptitude (intelligence) test and a computer-based English test. All three normally take place on campus. Applicants living more than 1,000 km from Wiener Neustadt, which includes Ireland, may do the admission interview by video, but they must first submit a SAT score of at least 1200.
  • English at C1 level is tested at the entrance examination, so you do not need an English certificate in advance.

How to apply

  1. Check eligibilityConfirm with admissions how your Leaving Certificate will be assessed, and decide whether to attend the on-campus admission day or to take the SAT (1200 minimum) for the video-interview option.
  2. Apply onlineApply at onlinebewerbung.fhwn.ac.at and upload your school-leaving certificate and proof of citizenship. The EU deadline for the 2026 intake was 15 June 2026; check the 2027 date.
  3. Admission dayGive the presentation and sit the aptitude test and the English (C1) test on campus, or do the video interview if you live more than 1,000 km away.
  4. Enrol and startIf you get an offer, pay the EUR 363.36 semester fee and the ÖH fee. The course starts in late August (24 August for the 2026 intake).
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: For the 2026 intake the deadline for EU/EEA/Swiss applicants was 15 June 2026 (31 March 2026 for applicants who need a visa), with admission days held on a rolling basis and the course starting on 24 August 2026. The 2027 dates were not yet published when checked; expect a similar mid-June deadline, but applying early is sensible because admission days run on an ongoing basis..

Costs

  • EU/EEA students pay EUR 363.36 per semester (EUR 726.72 a year), plus the student union (ÖH) fee of EUR 25.20 per semester. Figures are for the 2026 intake; confirm the 2027 amounts with the university.
The course starts in late August, earlier than most European degrees, and the EU deadline is mid-June, before Leaving Cert results are out. If you want to avoid travelling to Austria for the admission day, you need a SAT score of at least 1200 for the video-interview route.
