About the course

A new English-taught Bachelor’s in Kinesitherapy (physiotherapy) at the Faculty of Public Health, open to international students for 2026/27. The Bachelor’s runs for 4 years (8 semesters, 240 ECTS) and covers fundamental, biomedical and specialist subjects. Graduates can design and deliver kinesitherapy programmes for diagnosed medical conditions.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The university does not publish a fixed Irish Leaving Certificate requirement. It asks for completed secondary education, shown by a legalised copy of your school-leaving certificate with a certified Bulgarian translation, a NACID certificate confirming completed secondary education, and a document showing you have the right to enter higher education in Ireland. Contact admissions to confirm.
  • Entrance exam (2026 cycle): an online Biology test based on the secondary school curriculum.
  • The admissions page does not require a separate English certificate such as IELTS. Check with admissions.

Working in Ireland afterwards

Physiotherapy is not covered by automatic recognition. CORU checks each EU/EEA physiotherapy qualification against its Standards of Proficiency, and you need a letter of recognition before you can apply to join the Physiotherapists Register. If your training does not fully match, CORU can offer a compensation measure: a supervised adaptation period in Ireland or an aptitude test. EU/EEA-qualified physiotherapists with EU rights can also apply through the European Professional Card (EPC) route.
