About the course

An English-taught hotel management degree covering hospitality operations, business and leadership, with a compulsory 24-week work placement abroad. It is a practical, career-focused degree at a university of applied sciences.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • BUas treats the Irish Leaving Certificate as equal to a Dutch HAVO diploma if you have at least 5 subjects from the established Leaving Cert, all at O6/H7 or better, and at least 200 CAO points. The Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme (5 subjects plus the Link Modules, same grades and points) is also listed. BUas notes that no rights can be derived from its list.
  • You must be proficient in a second modern foreign language besides English (French or German, continued at B1 level, or Spanish at A2.2). Students whose prior education is not Dutch can instead choose Dutch at beginner level. Confirm with BUas what proof of level it needs.
  • No specific maths or science subject is required. Selection is based on your application documents and a spoken English video of up to 4 minutes about your motivation, experience, strengths and plans.
