About the course

A 5-year (300 ECTS) integrated Master in Pharmacy (MPharm), taught on campus in Nicosia by the School of Life and Health Sciences. The programme page lists English and Greek as the languages of instruction. It includes at least six months of compulsory practical training in a community or hospital pharmacy. The programme is accredited by the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Higher Education (CYQAA). EUC says it is recognised under the EU Directive on the Recognition of Professional Qualifications (2005/36/EC). The page does not say whether the English and Greek versions run as separate streams, so confirm with EUC that every module of your stream is taught in English.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The university assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm.
  • EUC’s general undergraduate rule is successful completion of secondary education (high school or equivalent). No Pharmacy-specific subjects, grades, entrance exam or interview are published.
  • English: accepted proof includes a secondary school diploma from an English-language institution, IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 79 or Pearson PTE 66 (CEFR B2+). Applicants without proof can sit the EUC English Placement Test. Irish nationality is not on EUC’s list of nationalities exempt from the requirement, so Leaving Cert students should confirm that their English-medium schooling is accepted.

Working in Ireland afterwards

A pharmacy degree from an EU/EEA member state that fully meets the Directive 2005/36/EC minimum training requirements (Article 44) can be recognised automatically. If you started your studies before the Directive’s reference date, you also need 3 consecutive years of professional experience within the last 5 years. Recognition is step one and PSI registration is step two: recognition alone does not let you practise, and you must also prove competence in English. EU law allows countries to limit EU-qualified pharmacists from running newly opened pharmacies, and we could not confirm on the PSI website whether Ireland does this. If you plan to be the supervising or superintendent pharmacist in a pharmacy, check with the PSI.

How to apply

  1. Confirm requirementsEmail EUC admissions to confirm the Leaving Certificate grades and subjects expected for the English-stream MPharm, which fee schedule applies to Irish/EU students, whether October 2027 entry is open, and that all modules are taught in English.
  2. Apply onlineComplete the EUC online application form, select the English-language Pharmacy programme and pay the non-refundable EUR 80 application fee.
  3. Upload documentsProvide your official Leaving Certificate and grades in English, a passport photograph, a copy of your passport (or EU ID card) and proof of English.
  4. Accept your offerSecure your place by paying the EUR 1,100 down payment for on-campus programmes.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: EUC does not publish an application deadline for this programme. The programme page currently lists the next intake as October 2026. We expect 2027 entry to be the October 2027 intake, but EUC has not published this yet. No entrance exam or interview is published. Apply early and confirm the closing date with admissions..

Costs

  • EUC does not show tuition fees on its website. They are only in downloadable PDF fee schedules, split into Cypriot, Greek and International students, and we could not open these to check them. The programme page says fees may be reduced for selected programmes and tells you to contact the Office of Admissions. So no figure is given here. Ask admissions which schedule and fee apply to Irish/EU students. One-off costs listed on EUC’s undergraduate admissions page: a non-refundable application fee of EUR 80, and a down payment of EUR 1,100 for on-campus programmes when you accept your place.
EUC says this MPharm is recognised under Directive 2005/36/EC. A pharmacy degree from an EU member state that fully meets the Directive’s minimum training requirements (Article 44) can be recognised automatically in Ireland. You must then register with the PSI and prove competence in English. If you plan to be a supervising or superintendent pharmacist, check with the PSI. The programme is also taught in Greek, so confirm that every module of your stream is taught in English. Complete the full 5-year integrated Master, as that is the award that can lead to registration.

The programme details were checked against the official EUC programme page on 27 September 2026, and admission requirements against the EUC undergraduate admissions page in September 2026. The programme page still lists October 2026 as the next intake, so 2027 details, the tuition fee and the deadline could not be confirmed. Check them with EUC admissions before applying. Always confirm details with the university before applying.
