About the course

A five-year Master’s programme leading to the MDDr. degree, taught in English in Prague. In years 1 and 2, you learn pre-clinical dentistry in simulator classrooms before moving on to clinical dentistry. The faculty says its updated curriculum gives you many more hands-on procedures while keeping a solid grounding in general medicine.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The university assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm. You must have completed secondary education. If you pass the entrance exam, you submit verified secondary-school documents, and a foreign certificate can be assessed by the faculty for a fee of CZK 990.
  • Round 1 is a 90-minute paper-based written test in English with 75 single-best-answer questions and no negative marking. The faculty’s admissions page lists the subjects as Biology, Chemistry and General Science, with 25 questions each. The university portal lists them as Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
  • Round 2 is an online Multiple Mini-Interview (MMI) with five 10-minute stations, scored out of 100. Only the Round 2 score decides admission. No English proficiency certificate was required for 2026/27.

Working in Ireland afterwards

A dental degree from an EU member state that is listed in the EU Professional Qualifications Directive (2005/36/EC, as amended) can be recognised automatically by the Dental Council of Ireland. To get this, you provide a certificate from your home country’s competent authority confirming the degree meets the Directive’s minimum training conditions, plus proof of English-language proficiency. EU dental degrees that do not qualify for automatic recognition may instead be assessed under the Directive.
