  • Entrance exam in Biology (general and cell biology, genetics, human biology, ecology), Chemistry (general and inorganic, organic chemistry and biochemistry) and Physics (units, mechanics, thermodynamics, electricity and magnetism, optics and acoustics). Sample tests are on the faculty website.
  • The admissions page does not state an English-language certificate requirement.

Working in Ireland afterwards

A dental degree from an EU member state that is listed in the EU Professional Qualifications Directive (2005/36/EC, as amended) can be recognised automatically by the Dental Council of Ireland. To get this, you provide a certificate from your home country’s competent authority confirming the degree meets the Directive’s minimum training conditions, plus proof of English-language proficiency. EU dental degrees that do not qualify for automatic recognition may instead be assessed under the Directive.
