About the course

A three-year, full-time English-taught bachelor’s degree covering the theory and practice of doing business at a global scale. Students can take a double degree with the University of Vaasa (Finland) or OTH Regensburg (Germany). Graduates receive the Czech Bakalář (Bc.) degree and a Diploma Supplement.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • No Czech rule gives the Leaving Certificate automatic entry, and VŠE publishes no Leaving Cert subject or grade table. VŠE assesses your foreign school-leaving certificate itself, with no extra fee for English-taught programmes. You send an officially certified copy of the Leaving Cert, a certificate from the relevant Irish body confirming it lets you apply for a bachelor’s degree in Ireland, and an official translation into English or Czech if needed. VŠE’s page does not mention an apostille, so ask admissions (edu@vse.cz) what form of certification they accept for Irish documents.
  • VŠE says entrance exam requirements differ by programme and are listed on each programme’s website. The IBB exam format, any maths level and minimum score were not confirmed, so check the IBB website before applying.
  • VŠE’s general admissions pages do not state an English test requirement for IBB. Ask the programme (ibb@vse.cz) whether Leaving Cert English is accepted as proof of English.

How to apply

  1. Check IBB requirements (Oct 2026)Read the IBB programme website for the entrance requirements and the 2027 closing date. Email ibb@vse.cz if anything is unclear.
  2. Apply online (from 1 Nov 2026)Submit the e-application and pay the €100 non-refundable application fee. If you are still at school, upload confirmation of ongoing study with your expected graduation date and a current transcript.
  3. Complete the entrance assessmentSit whatever entrance exam or assessment IBB sets for 2027 entry, on the dates the programme publishes.
  4. Send your Leaving Cert (Aug-Sep 2027)After results in late August, send a certified copy of the Leaving Cert, the eligibility certificate and any translation to VŠE well before the enrolment deadline. Confirm your place (pre-enrolment) in InSIS by the faculty’s deadline, then pay the first semester’s €3,000 tuition.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Applications for 2027/28 open on 1 November 2026 through VŠE’s online e-application. VŠE has not yet published the IBB closing date or entrance exam dates for 2027 entry. Deadlines vary by programme, so check the IBB programme website (ibb.vse.cz) or email ibb@vse.cz, and apply early..

Costs

  • VŠE’s admissions page lists tuition for English-taught bachelor’s degrees as €6,000 per academic year (€3,000 per semester). A footnote says the lower €5,000 rate applies only to students admitted before 2027/28, so €6,000 is the rate for 2027 entrants. There is no separate EU rate. The application fee is €100 and is non-refundable. VŠE charges no extra fee to assess a foreign school-leaving certificate for English-taught programmes.
EU students pay the full €6,000 a year, and the 2027 closing date is not yet published. Apply soon after applications open on 1 November 2026 and send your Leaving Cert as soon as results arrive in August.
