About the course

A three-year, English-taught BSc combining engineering and management, with first-year modules in logistics, industrial engineering, international business and finance, then production systems, operations research, quality management and strategic planning. Year 3 includes a mandatory four-month internship, a study-abroad option and a bachelor thesis.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Constructor University does not publish a specific Leaving Cert rule. Under German recognition rules (KMK/ZAB), the Leaving Cert gives direct entry to engineering only with six subjects including two languages and Maths, at least two at Higher Level at H5 or better (the others at O6/H6 or better), plus Higher Level Maths at H5 and a Higher Level science at H5. LCA and LCVP are not accepted. The university notes that applicants whose school qualification does not give direct university entry in Germany may need SAT/ACT scores to enrol, so confirm with Constructor admissions.
  • Applications are assessed on school transcripts from the last 2-3 years, a CV and a motivation statement; SAT/ACT scores are optional for admission, and a recommendation letter is optional or on request. No entrance test or interview is listed.
  • English: native English speakers, or applicants taught only through English for at least 6 years, are exempt from submitting an English test; Leaving Cert English is not named specifically.

Costs

  • Private university. The university’s financing page gives 2027/28 tuition of EUR 11,925 per semester (EUR 23,850 a year), plus a one-off enrolment fee of EUR 640 for EU students and EUR 350 per semester in semester fees (university fee and semester travel ticket). This is higher than the 2026/27 fee of EUR 10,000 per semester (EUR 20,000 a year). All admitted applicants are automatically considered for an Academic Achievement Scholarship of up to EUR 10,000 based on grades. First-year students live on campus at extra cost (about EUR 4,000 for September to May in a shared room). No application fee is mentioned on the official pages.
This is a private university charging EUR 23,850 a year in tuition for 2027/28, unlike Germany’s tuition-free public universities; merit scholarships of up to EUR 10,000 can reduce it. You still need the German Leaving Cert subject rules (Higher Level Maths and a Higher Level science at H5) for direct entry.
