About the course

A seven-semester (210 ECTS) business degree: the first three semesters cover core foundations such as management, accounting, finance, economics and business law and can be taken in English (English core track) or German, and from the fourth semester all courses are taught in English. The fifth semester is spent abroad at a partner university with an internship abroad, and students choose two of nine specialisations.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Frankfurt School asks for a recognised school-leaving certificate and checks it against German university entrance rules; it publishes nothing specific on the Irish Leaving Certificate. Under German recognition rules the Leaving Cert gives direct entry only with six subjects including two languages and Maths, at least two at Higher Level at H5 or better, the rest at O6/H6 or better; for business and economics you also need Higher Level Maths at H5 or better. Confirm with admissions.
  • All applicants sit the school’s online Assessment Centre: a maths test, a cognitive test, an English test and a structured interview. The school says applicants whose certificate does not meet the German entry rules may be able to take an Extended Online Assessment Centre instead; ask admissions.
  • No English certificate is needed, because English is tested in the Assessment Centre.

How to apply

  1. Check your subjectsMake sure your Leaving Cert plan includes Higher Level Maths (H5 or better) and meets the German six-subject rule.
  2. Apply onlineSubmit the online application with your last two school reports, CV and passport copy, choose the English core track, and pay the €100 application fee, ideally well before 30 June 2027.
  3. Online Assessment CentreBook a date (for example 21 October, 18 November or 10 December 2026) and sit the maths, cognitive and English tests and a structured interview.
  4. Accept and enrolOnce admitted, pay the €600 enrolment fee and tuition and send your final Leaving Cert results before the 1 September 2027 start.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Application deadline 30 June 2027 for a 1 September 2027 start. Later applications are considered only if places remain, so apply early. Online Assessment Centre dates for the 2027 intake include 21 October 2026, 18 November 2026 and 10 December 2026..

Costs

  • The programme page lists tuition of €8,600 per semester (€17,200 a year) for the September 2027 intake, plus a €100 application fee and a €600 enrolment fee. The school’s 2026/27 cost-of-attendance sheet gave €16,400 a year for the previous intake and estimated total yearly costs including rent and living at around €39,120. Tuition for the semester abroad may differ. Diversity scholarships cut tuition by 15%, 25% or 50%, and merit scholarships and income-share agreements are also offered.
This is a private university charging €8,600 a semester in tuition, unlike Germany’s tuition-free public universities. Choose the English core track, because the first three semesters are otherwise taught in German.
