About the course

A seven-semester (210 ECTS) degree taught in English that combines business studies with philosophy and economics, with specialisations such as innovation and entrepreneurship, sustainability, politics, marketing, banking and finance, and consulting. A semester abroad and an international internship are part of the programme.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Frankfurt School asks for a recognised school-leaving certificate and publishes nothing specific on the Irish Leaving Certificate. Under German recognition rules the Leaving Cert gives direct entry only with six subjects including two languages and Maths, at least two at Higher Level at H5 or better, the rest at O6/H6 or better; for business and economics you also need Higher Level Maths at H5 or better. Confirm with admissions.
  • All applicants sit the online Assessment Centre: a maths test, a cognitive test, an English test and a structured interview.
  • No English certificate is needed, because English is tested in the Assessment Centre.

How to apply

  1. Check your subjectsMake sure your Leaving Cert plan includes Higher Level Maths (H5 or better) and meets the German six-subject rule.
  2. Apply onlineSubmit the online application with your last two school reports, CV and passport copy and pay the €100 application fee before 30 June 2027; earlier is better.
  3. Online Assessment CentreSit the maths, cognitive and English tests and a structured interview online; check the 2027 dates on the programme page.
  4. Accept and enrolPay the enrolment fee, send your final Leaving Cert results and start in September 2027.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: The application deadline is 30 June each year for a September start; the page currently shows the 2026 cycle (Assessment Centre dates in April and June 2026), so confirm 2027 dates. Later applications are considered only if places remain, so apply early..

Costs

  • The programme page lists tuition of €8,200 per semester (€16,400 a year), plus a €100 application fee and a €400 enrolment fee; these appear to be 2026-intake figures. The school’s 2026/27 cost-of-attendance sheet gives a higher figure of €21,000 a year, and the school’s other bachelor programmes charge €8,600 a semester for 2027, so confirm the exact fee for 2027 entry with the school. Diversity scholarships reduce tuition by 15%, 25% or 50%.
This is a private university with tuition fees, and the official figures conflict (€16,400 a year on the programme page, €21,000 on the 2026/27 cost sheet), so get the 2027 fee confirmed in writing before you commit.
