About the course

An English-taught business administration degree with an international focus, covering marketing, strategic management, human resources and accounting, with electives such as data analytics, business ethics and design thinking. Strong students can take a dual degree with Fitchburg State University (USA) by studying there in semesters 5-6.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Germany accepts the Leaving Certificate for direct university entry only with the right subject and level combination: six subjects, at least two at Higher Level at H5 or better, the other four at O6/H6 or better, including two languages and Maths at O5/H6 or better. LCA and LCVP are not accepted. For business and economics you also need Higher Level Maths at H5. The university publishes nothing Ireland-specific, so confirm with admissions.
  • Admission is restricted (numerus clausus): if applications exceed places, your Leaving Cert is converted to a German grade and you are ranked on it. No cut-off is published.
  • English at CEFR B2 is required. The university’s list of accepted English proofs includes a secondary school diploma from Ireland, so the Leaving Certificate should cover this.

How to apply

  1. Take Higher Level MathsAim for H5 or better in Higher Level Maths, needed for business courses in Germany, and strong grades overall for ranking.
  2. Register on hochschulstart.deCreate a DoSV account to get your BID and BAN before applying.
  3. Apply via uni-assistSubmit your application with your BID/BAN and documents through uni-assist, aiming for 15 July 2027 at the latest.
  4. Watch for offersAdmission letters usually go out at the beginning of August; then enrol, pay the semester contribution and complete the 8-week preparatory internship by the 4th-semester enrolment deadline.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Winter semester entry only (semester begins 1 September). The published deadline for winter 2026/27 restricted-admission bachelor programmes was 15 July; the 2027/28 date is not yet published. This course is in the hochschulstart.de DoSV procedure: register on hochschulstart.de to get your BID and BAN, then apply through uni-assist (for school certificates from outside Germany). Admission letters for restricted programmes are usually sent at the beginning of August..

Costs

  • No tuition fees. You pay a semester contribution of €365.10 for winter 2026/27 (about €730 a year if the summer amount is the same), which includes a Deutschlandticket. uni-assist charges its own application processing fee.
This course has limited places allocated through hochschulstart.de, so you must register there as well as applying through uni-assist, and you are ranked on your converted Leaving Cert grade. It is at the Kamp-Lintfort campus, not Kleve.
