About the course

This seven-semester course covers logistics systems, supply chain management and mobility, with electives in logistics, engineering or economics. It is taught in English on the Kamp-Lintfort campus.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Germany’s recognition rules (KMK/ZAB on anabin) say the Leaving Cert gives direct entry only with the right subjects. You need six subjects: two at Higher Level with H5 or better, and four at O6/H6 or better, including two languages and Maths at O5/H6 or better. Business courses also need Higher Level Maths at H5, and engineering courses need Higher Level Maths at H5 plus a Higher Level science at H5. It is not stated which group this course falls into, so to be safe take Higher Level Maths and a Higher Level science. Confirm with uni-assist or Rhine-Waal.
  • Places are limited and allocated through the national DoSV system (hochschulstart). Your Leaving Cert is converted to a German grade and you are ranked on it. You also need a compulsory eight-week pre-study placement, completed by re-enrolment for the fourth semester.
  • You need proof of English at B2 level (CEFR) or better. The university does not say whether Leaving Cert English counts, so ask admissions.

Costs

  • No tuition fees at this public university of applied sciences. You pay only a semester contribution, which includes a Deutschlandticket for public transport across Germany. The draft gives about EUR 365 per semester for winter 2026/27, about EUR 730 a year, but this could not be confirmed on the university website. uni-assist charges its own application fee. Check the current amount with the university.
Places are limited and ranked on your converted Leaving Cert grade, so you register on hochschulstart before applying through uni-assist, and you need an eight-week placement before your fourth semester.
