About the course

An English-taught management degree (180 ECTS) for the healthcare sector on UE’s Iserlohn campus. It combines business fundamentals with health-sector topics. A one-semester foundation diploma is available if you need preparation first.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • UE asks for a school leaving certificate and publishes no specific rules for the Leaving Certificate. Under German recognition rules (KMK/anabin), the Leaving Cert gives direct entry only if you have six subjects, including two languages and Maths (O5/H6 or better), with at least two at Higher Level H5 or better and the rest at O6/H6 or better. For business and social science subjects, Higher Level Maths at H5 is also expected. Confirm with UE admissions how they assess your results.
  • Documents: the completed application form, your school leaving certificate, a language certificate, a CV, a motivation letter and a copy of your passport. UE may ask some applicants to sit an admission test, so check whether you need one.
  • English: UE asks for English at level B2 or above for English-taught programmes. No exemption for native speakers is published, so ask admissions whether your Leaving Cert English will be accepted.

How to apply

  1. Confirm requirementsCheck how UE treats your Leaving Cert subjects and English for the September 2027 Iserlohn intake.
  2. Apply onlineFill in the application at apply.ue-germany.com. Upload your CV, passport copy, Leaving Cert results or transcript, a language certificate and a motivation letter. Deadline for a September 2027 start: 1 September 2027.
  3. Admission testIf UE asks you to, take the admission test.
  4. Sign contract and pay feesOnce accepted, sign the study contract and pay any one-off fees, then arrange accommodation in Iserlohn.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Intakes in March and September. Winter semester (September start): apply by 1 September. Summer semester (March start): apply by 28 February. These are UE’s standing deadlines, so confirm them for 2027..

Costs

  • Tuition from €6,662 a year, the current published ‘from’ rate (a saving offer, T&Cs apply). UE has previously listed a one-off €490 registration fee, and for EU applicants a €1,500 reservation fee that is deducted from total programme costs (applicants from Germany, Austria and Switzerland do not pay it). These one-off fees could not be re-checked this time, so confirm them with UE. This is a private university, so the free tuition at German public universities does not apply here.
This is a private, state-recognised university. Fees start at about €6,662 a year, unlike Germany’s tuition-free public universities. It is a management degree, not a clinical health qualification.
