About the course

A four-year, 240-ECTS business and economics degree taught entirely in English in Madrid. The first two years cover the core of business and economics. In the later years students choose one of three specialisations: International Business and Global Management, International Economics and Government, or International Finance and Law.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • CUNEF does not publish specific rules for the Irish Leaving Certificate. Under Spanish law (Royal Decree 534/2024), Leaving Cert students do not sit the Spanish entrance exam (PAU), but they must meet the rules for getting into university in Ireland. As a guide, UCD’s minimum is six subjects, with at least H5 in two and O6/H7 in the other four, including English and Irish. Ask CUNEF admissions how it will assess your Leaving Cert and whether it needs a UNEDasiss accreditation.
  • Applicants sit CUNEF’s own admission tests, which are taken online on the university’s Canvas platform. CUNEF does not publish the test content or any Maths requirement for this degree.
  • CUNEF does not publish an English language requirement for Irish applicants. Ask admissions to confirm in writing that Leaving Cert English is accepted.

Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: CUNEF runs its own admissions through an online application portal, followed by its own admission tests. No fixed application deadline is published, so apply early in your Leaving Cert year. In the 2026 cycle, scholarship applications ran from 11 to 25 June 2026. Costs

  • CUNEF is a private university and does not publish its bachelor tuition fee online. Ask admissions for the 2027/28 fee before you apply. Private university fees in Spain are set by each university and are far higher than public university fees. CUNEF runs its own scholarship scheme. In the 2026 cycle, scholarship applications for new students ran from 11 to 25 June. Ask admissions for the 2027 scholarship rules and dates.
CUNEF is a private university and does not publish its tuition fee online, so get the 2027/28 fee in writing before you commit. Admission depends on CUNEF’s own tests, not on a points cut-off.
