About the course

A four-year, 240 ECTS business degree on how companies are planned, managed and run, with internships and study-abroad options. You can take the whole degree in English at Deusto’s Bilbao or San Sebastián campus.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Deusto is a private university and runs its own admissions. Students from other school systems apply with official transcripts and are selected on their grades plus Deusto’s admission tests. Deusto publishes no rule for converting Leaving Cert grades and does not say whether UNEDasiss is needed. Ask admissions which results they use, for example Fifth Year or mock results, because you apply before you sit the Leaving Cert.
  • Maths: Spanish applicants must take Mathematics and need an average of at least 7/10 in the first year of the Baccalaureate. Deusto gives no Leaving Cert equivalent, so ask admissions whether they expect Higher Level Maths. For the 2026/27 cycle, the admission tests were a multiple-choice Mathematics test, a multiple-choice reasoning and general knowledge test, and a motivation essay.
  • English: you need B2 level to start and C1 before you graduate. The programme page asks for an external certificate such as Cambridge First, Linguaskill or Aptis. Deusto’s 2026/27 admission instructions also say a transcript showing you were taught in English counts as proof of B2. Leaving Cert transcripts usually don’t state the language of instruction, so ask admissions whether a school letter is enough or whether you need a certificate.

How to apply

  1. Contact admissions earlyUse Deusto’s information request form before November. Ask how they assess the Leaving Cert, which results they use before your final exams, whether you need UNEDasiss, and what proof of English they accept.
  2. Apply online between 2 and 30 November 2026Create a username on the Deusto Virtual Office, choose the English-track BMA and your campus, upload your transcripts and language proof, and pay the €30 application fee.
  3. Sit the admission testsDeusto emails you the test arrangements. In 2026/27 there was a Mathematics test, a reasoning and general knowledge test, and a motivation essay. The decision comes by email or through the Virtual Office.
  4. Reserve your place and enrolPay the pre-enrolment reservation (€900 in 2026/27, taken off your fees). Then book an enrolment appointment and send your final Leaving Cert results as official documents.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Applications for 2027/28 entry are open from 2 to 30 November 2026. This is much earlier than in past years: the 2026/27 first stage ran from 9 January to 17 February. Deusto says full instructions and any later stages for 2027/28 will be published soon. Don’t count on a later round having places, so apply in November..

Costs

  • Deusto is a private university, so everyone pays the same fee. For 2027/28, first-year fees for the English-track BMA are €10,800 in Bilbao (€180 per credit) and €11,010 in San Sebastián (€183.50 per credit), for 60 credits. You pay €2,160 when you enrol, then eight monthly direct debits from October to May (€1,080 a month in Bilbao, €1,106.25 in San Sebastián). There is also a €30 application fee. In the 2026/27 cycle, reserving your place at pre-enrolment cost €900, which came off your fees if you enrolled. Check the reservation amount for 2027.
Deusto is a private university, so fees are about €11,000 a year, not the low public-university rate. Applications for 2027 entry close on 30 November 2026, much earlier than at other Spanish universities.
