About the course

An English-taught, four-year degree (240 ECTS) built on three pillars: human behaviour, business and analytics. It is hands-on, with projects and internships working with real businesses, NGOs or government bodies. Students choose between two concentrations: Human-Centered Consulting, or Marketing & Talent Strategy. The degree ends with a final project.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • IE is a private university and assesses the Leaving Certificate through its own admissions process (school transcripts and predicted grades, admissions test, interview). It does not publish Leaving Cert grade minimums. Students from EU systems such as Ireland do not sit the Spanish PAU. However, IE says EU students need credentials from UNED (UNEDasiss accreditation) to enrol. You must send your official final documents to IE Admissions by 15 October of first year. As a guide, UCD’s matriculation minimum is six subjects, with at least H5 in two and O6/H7 in the other four, including English and Irish. Confirm with IE admissions.
  • Admissions test: IE’s own online test (in English, testing verbal, logical and numerical skills), or accepted external scores. IE’s undergraduate admissions policy gives minimums of SAT 1300 or ACT 28. An assessment and a personal interview follow.
  • English: IE’s admissions policy exempts applicants who completed secondary education in an English-speaking country, so Leaving Cert students should not need a separate English test. Otherwise the minimums are IELTS 7, TOEFL 100 or Duolingo 130.

How to apply

  1. Apply onlineComplete the IE online application, pay the €150 admission fee and upload your transcripts, predicted grades, CV, a recommendation letter and a personal expression piece. Aim for Round 1 (closes 6 Nov 2026) or Round 2 (closes 15 Jan 2027).
  2. Admissions testTake the IE admissions test or submit SAT (1300+) or ACT (28+) scores.
  3. Assessment and interviewComplete IE’s assessment and personal interview, then wait for the committee decision for your round.
  4. Accept and enrolPay the €3,000 place reservation fee, get your UNEDasiss accreditation and send your final Leaving Cert documents to IE by 15 October 2027.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: IE admits students in rounds for September 2027 entry. The Early Round closed on 18 Sep 2026. Round 1 closes 6 Nov 2026 (decision by 11 Dec 2026), Round 2 closes 15 Jan 2027 (decision by 19 Feb 2027) and Round 3 closes 5 Mar 2027 (decision by 23 Apr 2027). From May 2027 applications are considered on a rolling basis while places remain. Key documents (transcripts and predicted grades) must be in by the round deadline, or your application moves to a later round..

Costs

  • IE lists tuition of €26,500 for the first year (the 2026/27 rate, €441.67 per ECTS). Fees then rise by 2.9% each year of the degree. The 2027/28 first-year fee may be a little higher, so check it with IE. IE is a private university, so EU and non-EU students pay the same fee. There are also one-off costs: a €150 admission fee, a €3,000 place reservation fee (which counts towards first-year tuition but is non-refundable) and a €1,200 IE Foundation contribution in first year. Tuition is due by 2 October of the academic year.
This is not presented as an accredited psychology degree. It is a private applied behavioural-science and business degree with high fees, so if you want to become a psychologist in Ireland, check the Psychological Society of Ireland’s accreditation routes first.
