About the course

A five-year, full-time double degree taught in English that awards two bachelor’s degrees. It combines management and business subjects with data science, programming, statistics and analytics. It is taught in person in Segovia or Madrid, and starts in September.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • IE University does not publish a specific Leaving Certificate rule. Under Spanish law (Royal Decree 534/2024), Irish students do not sit the Spanish entrance exam (PAU) but must meet the rules for getting into university in Ireland. As a guide, UCD’s minimum is six subjects with at least H5 in two. IE reviews your whole application, so confirm with IE admissions.
  • You must take the IE University Admissions Test. It is in English only, tests verbal, logical and numerical skills, and includes a Mathematics Assessment for this programme. There is also an online assessment with video and written questions, and a personal interview. Strong Leaving Cert maths will help.
  • English: you do not need a certificate if you studied in an English-speaking school system (or for at least your last 2 years of secondary school), so Leaving Cert students taught in English should be exempt. Otherwise IE asks for TOEFL 100, IELTS 7, Cambridge C1 or C2, or Duolingo 130.

Costs

  • IE University is private and charges the same tuition fee to all nationalities. The fee is 34,000 euro a year (2026-27 figure). IE says fees are adjusted every year, so expect a higher figure for 2027 entrants. There is also a 150 euro application fee, a 3,000 euro reservation fee to hold your place, and a one-off 1,200 euro IE Foundation contribution when you enrol in first year. Merit-based scholarships and loan programmes are available.
This is a private university charging 34,000 euro a year (2026-27) for a five-year programme, so the total cost is very high. Look at scholarships early. Places are filled in rounds, so apply by Round 1 or Round 2.
