About the course

A four-year, 240 ECTS on-campus business degree in Madrid covering finance, marketing, operations and management, with a strong focus on data and emerging technologies (UAX quotes over 700 hours of tech training and includes an IBM data analyst certification). You choose between a bilingual format (at least 30% in English) and an all-English curriculum. There is also a separate online degree. The course starts in September.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • UAX does not publish specific rules for the Irish Leaving Certificate. Under Spanish law (Royal Decree 534/2024) you do not need to sit the Spanish PAU, but you must meet the Irish rules for getting into university (for example, UCD asks for six subjects with at least H5 in two and O6/H7 in the other four). Your Leaving Cert is converted to a Spanish grade out of 10, often through a UNEDasiss accreditation. Confirm with UAX admissions exactly what documents they need.
  • Admission is through UAX’s own process: an online application, a meeting with an adviser, then admission tests (UAX lists personal skills and psycho-technical tests), which can be taken in person or online. No specific maths level is published. UAX also lists a Spanish test for students from non-Spanish-speaking countries, so ask whether this applies to the all-English group.
  • No English certificate score is published. As a native speaker with Leaving Cert English you should have no problem with any English assessment, but confirm with admissions.

How to apply

  1. Contact admissionsUse the enquiry form on the UAX website to get an admissions adviser. Ask for the 2027/28 fee, which campus the all-English group uses, and written confirmation that it will run in 2027.
  2. Apply and sit testsSubmit the admission application with your Leaving Cert results or predicted grades, then sit the UAX admission tests (in person or online).
  3. Get your Leaving Cert recognisedAsk UAX whether you need a UNEDasiss accreditation (applications usually open in spring and the fee is modest). Submit it once your results come out in August 2027.
  4. Reserve your placeOnce you get your offer, complete enrolment and pay the fees by the deadline you are given. Ask about the end date of any discount campaign. The course starts in September 2027.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Rolling admissions for September 2027 entry. UAX does not publish a closing date for this degree. Discount campaigns have fixed end dates that change each year, so ask admissions for the current 2027 dates. Apply early..

Costs

  • UAX is a private university and does not publish the tuition fee for this degree on its programme page; you get the price from an admissions adviser. Expect private-university fees, far higher than public-university rates. The programme page advertises a ‘50% tuition aid’ promotion, and UAX offers merit-based scholarships, but the terms and dates change from campaign to campaign. Get the full annual cost, and what any discount actually covers, in writing before you pay a deposit.
UAX is a private university that does not publish its fees, so get the exact annual cost in writing before you commit. Make sure you enrol in the on-campus, all-English group, not the bilingual group (only at least 30% in English) or the separate online degree.
