About the course

A 4-year, 240-ECTS business degree covering accounting, finance, marketing, management and economics. The English option runs only on the Getafe campus. In English groups, all classes, exercises and exams are in English. A few electives are offered only in Spanish. Students who take at least 50% of their credits in English get a ‘bilingual studies’ mention on their degree.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Under Spanish law (Royal Decree 534/2024), students from the Irish system do not sit the Spanish entrance exam (PAU), but they must meet the rules for getting into university in Ireland. As a guide, UCD asks for six subjects, with at least H5 in two and O6/H7 in the other four, including English and Irish. UNEDasiss converts your Leaving Cert to a Spanish score out of 10. Confirm the details with UC3M admissions.
  • Places are ranked on your admission score. You can raise it towards 14 with UNED PCE subject tests, weighted according to UC3M’s table for this degree. Check UC3M’s weighting and cut-off pages before choosing tests. If the English groups get more applicants than places, UC3M ranks applicants by admission grade.
  • English: you must prove B2 English during first year. UC3M accepts a secondary school diploma from an English-speaking system, which should cover the Irish Leaving Cert. It also accepts First Certificate, IELTS Academic 5.5, TOEFL 72, Trinity ISE II, its own level test, or passing 36 ECTS in English in first year.

How to apply

  1. Check Irish entry rulesMake sure your Leaving Cert subjects and grades meet Irish university matriculation rules, including English and Irish (or an exemption).
  2. Get UNEDasiss accreditationApply to UNEDasiss (about €36). Book any PCE subject tests early to raise your score.
  3. Pre-enrol with UC3MPre-enrol through UC3M’s online system during its 2027 window (usually early summer). Choose the Getafe campus and the English option.
  4. Accept and enrolWatch for UC3M’s admission lists, then accept your place and finish enrolment and fee payment by UC3M’s deadlines.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Get your UNEDasiss accreditation first (applications usually open February to November). Pre-enrolment at Spanish public universities usually runs in early summer, but UC3M has not yet published its 2027 dates. Students from EU systems with reciprocity can apply in both the first and second pre-enrolment rounds. Check UC3M’s pre-registration page for students with UNED accreditation..

Costs

  • UC3M is a public university, so EU students pay the same as Spanish students. UC3M lists Business Administration as a Type 3 degree. For 2026/27 that costs €16.92 per credit, or €1,015.20 for 60 credits (one year) at first enrolment. UC3M does not list a separate price for English groups. You also pay an administrative fee, school insurance and, as a new student, a fee to open your file. On top of that, UNEDasiss accreditation costs about €36, plus fees for any UNED PCE subject tests. The 2027/28 price will be published later.
Fees are low because UC3M is a public university. The English option is only at the Getafe campus, and a few electives are taught only in Spanish. Places go by your converted score, so UNED PCE tests can make the difference.
