About the course

A five-year, 360 ECTS double degree taught entirely in English, combining international business (economics, finance, marketing, strategy) with international relations (geopolitics, international law, diplomacy). It includes two compulsory internship modules in year 4 and two chances to study abroad.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Irish Leaving Certificate students come from an EU education system, so under Royal Decree 534/2024 you do not sit the Spanish entrance exam (PAU), but you must meet the general rules for entering university in Ireland (as a guide, UCD asks for six subjects with at least H5 in two and O6/H7 in the other four, including English and Irish). Universidad Europea publishes nothing specific on the Leaving Certificate, so confirm with admissions how your results are assessed and whether you need a UNEDasiss accreditation.
  • You must pass the university’s own admission exams before you can reserve a place; their content is not published on the programme page.
  • English: the programme page asks students to prove English at B2 level (CEFR). It does not say whether Leaving Certificate English is accepted as proof, so ask admissions.

How to apply

  1. Contact admissionsRequest information online or call +34 918257503 to start an application and book the admission exams, ideally in the autumn or winter of 6th year.
  2. Sit the admission examsComplete Universidad Europea’s own admission exams and show proof of B2 English; ask whether an interview is part of the process.
  3. Reserve your placeIf admitted, pay the reservation fee to secure your place. Get the fee amount, annual tuition and refund terms in writing first.
  4. Enrol with your documentsSubmit enrolment documents, including your Leaving Certificate results (August 2027) and any UNEDasiss accreditation the university asks for, before the September 2027 start. Irish documents do not need an apostille.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Universidad Europea runs its own rolling admissions in three steps: admission exams, place reservation (reservation fee) and enrolment with documents. No closing date is published, so apply early in 6th year. The current published start date is 14 September 2026; the 2027 start date is not yet published..

Costs

  • This is a private university and the course is not tuition-free. The programme page gives no annual fee; contact Madrid admissions (+34 918257503) for the price and financing. Once admitted you pay a reservation fee to hold your place (amount not published). Private university fees in Spain are far higher than public university fees.
This is a private university with its own admission exams and no published fee, so get the full annual cost in writing before paying the reservation fee. The double degree lasts five years.
