About the course

A four-year, 240 ECTS international business degree taught entirely in English at UNIE’s Arapiles campus in Madrid. Subjects include international business communication, law, economics, trade, business intelligence, global innovation and entrepreneurship, and international negotiation, with options such as energy, climate change and sustainability, and a crisis simulator. The current page shows a September 2026 start. The 2027 intake is not published yet.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Under Spanish rules (Royal Decree 534/2024), Leaving Certificate holders do not sit the Spanish PAU but must meet Irish university matriculation requirements. As a guide, UCD asks for six subjects with at least H5 in two and O6/H7 in the other four, including English and Irish. UNIE’s admission regulations accept a UNEDasiss credential for qualifications from EU countries, so expect to need one. Confirm with UNIE admissions.
  • All applicants sit UNIE’s three-part admission test. It assesses skills and attitudes towards intellectual work, tests English and assesses merit.
  • English-taught degrees require B2 English. You can send a document showing B2 level, or take UNIE’s own English test. Ask admissions whether Leaving Cert English counts for native speakers.
