About the course

A four-year, 240-ECTS business administration degree taught in English in Pamplona, covering management, finance, accounting, marketing and economics. Year 3 is not taught at UPNA and must be completed on an exchange programme abroad; year 4 is taken at UPNA alongside the ordinary Spanish-language business degree (choosing English-taught electives) or on exchange, and the final-year project is written in English.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Ireland is an EU education system, so you do not sit the Spanish entrance exam (PAU). UPNA asks EU-system applicants to get a UNEDasiss accreditation, which converts your Leaving Cert to a Spanish access score of 5 to 10, and you can add up to 4 more points (to a maximum of 14) with UNED subject tests (PCE). You must also meet the rules for entering university in Ireland (as a guide, UCD asks for six subjects with at least H5 in two and O6/H7 in the other four, including English and Irish). UPNA publishes nothing specific on the Leaving Cert, so confirm with its admissions office.
  • The cut-off mark was 11.100 out of 14 for 2025-26 (between 10.8 and 11.6 over the last five years), so a converted Leaving Cert score alone (maximum 10) will not be enough: you will need strong UNED PCE results in subjects UPNA weights for this degree. UPNA recommends numerical, logical and abstract reasoning skills, so Higher Level Maths is sensible preparation, though no grade is formally required.
  • English: B2 or higher is required. A certificate must be provided at pre-registration (a provisional one is accepted at first, with a final one before classes start), or you can take a level test at UPNA’s Language Centre. UPNA does not say whether Leaving Cert English or native-speaker status is accepted, so ask before applying.

How to apply

  1. Check your Leaving Cert subjectsMake sure your subjects meet Irish university matriculation rules (six subjects including English and Irish, two at H5 or better). Higher Level Maths is recommended given the quantitative content.
  2. Get UNEDasiss accreditation and sit PCE testsApply to UNEDasiss (opens February 2027, about €36). The last cut-off was 11.1 out of 14, so book UNED PCE subject tests to push your score above 10.
  3. Sort your English certificateGet proof of English at B2 or higher, ask UPNA whether Leaving Cert English is accepted, or book a level test with UPNA’s Language Centre before pre-registration.
  4. Pre-register with UPNAPre-register online in June 2027 (in 2026 the window was 15 to 22 June), listing this degree among up to six choices, then complete registration (matrícula) if you are offered a place.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: For 2026 entry UPNA’s single pre-registration window was 15 to 22 June 2026 (online, documents uploaded by 22 June), with an extra round for leftover places on 5 to 14 August 2026. The 2027 dates were not yet published; expect a similar mid-to-late June window. Get your UNEDasiss accreditation before then (applications open February to November) and upload your B2 English certificate with the pre-registration..

Costs

  • This course is NOT free: UPNA is a public university and EU students pay the same public price per credit as Spanish students (60 credits a year, 240 in total). The price is set each year by the Government of Navarra and could not be confirmed on UPNA’s pages for 2026/27 or 2027/28, so check the current price with UPNA before applying. As a guide from the country context, public university fees in Spain are roughly €1,000 to €1,300 a year. Budget about €36 for the UNEDasiss accreditation, and extra living costs for the compulsory third year abroad.
Only 25 places, and the cut-off has been about 11 out of 14, so a Leaving Cert conversion alone (maximum 10) will not get you in; you need UNED PCE tests. Year 3 must be spent on an exchange abroad.
