Entry requirements for Irish students

• Finland accepts a completed Leaving Certificate that gives you entry to higher education in Ireland. No Finnish body sets minimum Leaving Cert grades, subjects or Higher/Ordinary levels, and your CAO points are not converted. Confirm with Jamk admissions.
• Places at universities of applied sciences usually go to Leaving Cert holders through the online International UAS Exam or a programme’s own entrance exam, not through your Leaving Cert results. Jamk’s selection criteria for this programme, including any pre-assignment or portfolio, could not be confirmed.
• English: the UAS accept EU schooling taught and assessed entirely in English. Get a letter from your school confirming this, because the Leaving Cert certificate does not show it. Otherwise take a test such as IELTS Academic (6.0) or TOEFL iBT.
