About the course

A full-time, English-taught Bachelor of Engineering in international purchasing and logistics with a business focus, at Jamk in Jyväskylä. The national UAS listing gives this degree as 240 ECTS over four years.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Finland accepts a completed Leaving Certificate that gives you entry to higher education in Ireland. No Finnish body sets minimum Leaving Cert grades, subjects or Higher/Ordinary levels, and your CAO points are not converted. Confirm with Jamk admissions.
  • Places at universities of applied sciences usually go to Leaving Cert holders through the online International UAS Exam (23 March 2027) or a programme’s own entrance exam, not through your Leaving Cert results. Jamk’s selection criteria for this programme could not be confirmed.
  • English: the UAS accept EU schooling taught and assessed entirely in English. Get a letter from your school confirming this, because the Leaving Cert certificate does not show it. Otherwise take a test such as IELTS Academic (6.0) or TOEFL iBT.

How to apply

  1. Check the roundsRead the programme page for the rolling admission round (14 Sep to 19 Nov 2026) and the joint application (7 to 21 Jan 2027), including who may apply in each.
  2. Apply on Studyinfo.fiSubmit the joint application between 7 and 21 January 2027 and upload your documents and proof of English.
  3. Sit the entrance examIf required, complete ID checks (10 to 12 March 2027) and take the online International UAS Exam on 23 March 2027.
  4. Confirm your placeAccept a conditional offer and send your final Leaving Cert by Jamk’s deadline. Studies start 16 August 2027.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Jamk lists two application periods for August 2027 entry: rolling admission 14 September to 19 November 2026, and the joint application for English-taught programmes 7 to 21 January 2027. Studies start 16 August 2027. Selection in the joint application for Leaving Cert holders is normally through the online International UAS Exam on 23 March 2027 (confirm on the programme page)..

Costs

  • No tuition for EU/EEA citizens at Finnish universities of applied sciences. The €10,000 a year on Jamk’s bachelor’s page is the fee for students who must pay tuition (non-EU). Studyinfo.fi charges no application fee.
Your Leaving Cert points will not rank you. Plan for an entrance exam, most likely the online International UAS Exam in March 2027, and check Jamk’s deadline for your final results.
