About the course

A 210 ECTS programme taught entirely in English covering economics, international business law, the global business environment, financial accounting, marketing, management, logistics and supply chain management, entrepreneurship and digital business. It includes compulsory work placements and an exchange period or work placement abroad; the Lappeenranta campus focuses on innovation and bringing new business ideas to market.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • LAB’s rolling admission accepts a completed upper-secondary qualification that gives eligibility for higher education in the country where it was awarded, so a completed Leaving Certificate that meets Irish entry rules should count. LAB does not use CAO points; instead your school-leaving average is converted into a percentage (0-100%). For the January 2027 intake, EU/EEA applicants needed at least 75% for a Bachelor of Business Administration. LAB does not publish how H1-H8/O1-O8 grades are converted, so confirm with LAB admissions.
  • An alternative route for the January 2027 intake was SAT scores (minimum 600 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and 550 Maths, tests taken after 1 January 2024). No entrance exam or interview is mentioned. Criteria for August 2027 have not yet been published.
  • English: applicants who completed upper secondary education in English in an EU/EEA country or Ireland are exempt from a language test, but the official document must show English was the language of instruction. The Leaving Cert certificate does not state this, so get a school letter; Gaelscoil students should expect to need IELTS (6.5) or TOEFL iBT (90).

How to apply

  1. Check criteria (from Nov 2026)LAB will publish Autumn 2027 selection criteria and thresholds on its Rolling Admission page; check the grade threshold and document list.
  2. Apply early on StudyinfoApply between 2 November 2026 and 30 April 2027. Places are offered on a rolling basis until the programme is full, so apply early rather than waiting for the deadline.
  3. Upload documentsUpload your Junior Cert/Leaving Cert predicted or mock results as required, a school letter confirming you were taught and assessed in English, and your passport. LAB reviews applications continuously.
  4. Confirm and send final resultsAccept your place by the stated deadline and send your final Leaving Cert certificate and transcript to LAB by the conditional-admission deadline, which is not yet published for August 2027.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: LAB fills this programme through its own Rolling Admission, not the January joint application. The Lappeenranta programme is offered only in the November to April rolling period: 2 November 2026 to 30 April 2027 (or until the programme is full), for studies starting August 2027. LAB says the application details and selection criteria for the Autumn 2027 intake will be updated later. The Lahti version also has a January 2027 intake (applications 17 July to 30 September 2026), which is too early for 2027 Leaving Cert students..

Costs

  • No tuition fees for EU/EEA students. Students from outside the EU/EEA pay EUR 11,000 per academic year. The application fee applies only to applicants who are not EU, EEA or Swiss citizens, so Irish applicants pay nothing to apply.
LAB does not use the January joint application for this programme: it offers places on a rolling basis from 2 November 2026 until 30 April 2027 or until full, so apply early. Check the conditional-admission deadline for final results, as for the January 2027 intake it was set well before results would normally be available.
