About the course

A new four-year degree, starting in autumn 2027, taught in English at Metropolia’s Arabia Campus in Helsinki. It covers international fashion business, sustainability, innovation and consumer-driven business development. Graduates receive a Bachelor of Culture and Arts.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Finnish universities accept a foreign school-leaving qualification if it gives eligibility for higher education in the country where it was awarded, so a completed Leaving Certificate that meets Irish entry rules should count. No Finnish body sets minimum Leaving Cert grades, subjects or Higher/Ordinary levels, and your CAO points are not converted. Confirm with Metropolia admissions.
  • Metropolia says this programme uses an entrance examination, and the details will be published later on Studyinfo.fi. Places are expected to be awarded on the exam result, not on school grades. Culture and arts programmes often set their own exam or tasks, so check which format this one uses.
  • English: Finnish universities of applied sciences usually accept EU schooling taught and assessed entirely in English, if your documents show the language. The Leaving Cert certificate doesn’t state it, so get a letter from your school. Gaelscoil students should expect to need IELTS or TOEFL. Check the programme’s own language rules on Studyinfo.fi.

How to apply

  4. Send your final resultsIf you get a conditional offer, send your final Leaving Cert certificate by Metropolia’s deadline. Check this date early, because some Finnish deadlines fall before Leaving Cert results are out.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Apply in Finland’s Spring 2027 Joint Application 1 on Studyinfo.fi, open from 7 January 2027 (08:00) to 21 January 2027 (15:00 Finnish time). Metropolia will publish the entrance exam details for this programme later on Studyinfo.fi..

This is a brand-new programme starting in autumn 2027. It is a four-year Bachelor of Culture and Arts, not a business administration degree. Your Leaving Cert points are not used to rank you, so expect an entrance exam, with details due on Studyinfo.fi.
