About the course

A practical, career-focused degree that combines mathematics, statistics and programming to solve data problems for companies and organisations, taught in English at Building Nexus in Eindhoven. Fontys stresses that a good foundation in mathematics is important before you start.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The institution assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm.
  • Fontys asks for a secondary school diploma equivalent to Dutch standards and lists the Dutch VWO Nature and Technology (N&T) profile as the reference, which includes advanced Mathematics. No Irish maths grade is published, so check with Fontys whether your Maths level (ideally Higher Level) is enough.
  • A minimum level of English is required. Fontys exempts some applicants based on previous education but does not state whether the Leaving Certificate counts, so confirm with admissions.
