About the course

A broad, practical ICT degree with specialisations including software engineering, cyber security, artificial intelligence, data, infrastructure and cloud, game design, robotics, embedded software and interaction design. It is a career-focused programme at a university of applied sciences built around real projects; an accelerated route to finish in 3 or 3.5 years is also offered.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The institution assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm.
  • No specific maths or other subject requirement is published for international diplomas; Fontys checks your diploma and grade list individually.
  • A minimum level of English is required and the page says it can vary by specialisation; check with Fontys whether your Leaving Certificate English exempts you from a test.

How to apply

  1. Apply on StudielinkRegister and choose the English-taught Bachelor of ICT (Eindhoven) on Studielink by 1 June 2027 for a September 2027 start.
  2. Upload documentsFontys emails you asking for your Leaving Cert results, transcripts and any English evidence. Diploma validation can take up to three weeks.
  3. Book housingIf you want Fontys-arranged housing, apply by 15 June 2027. Housing is limited and not guaranteed.
  4. Admission and enrolmentOnce admitted, arrange tuition fee payment and complete enrolment before the September start.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: 1 June 2027 for EU/EEA applicants starting in September 2027 (Dutch applicants: 1 May). The page notes that Dutch and EEA students may still be able to apply after the deadline. A February 2028 start is also offered (international deadline 15 November 2027). Costs

  • Standard Dutch EU fee: €2,694 (2026/27). The 2027/28 fee is set by the Dutch government each year (expected to be close to €2,800).
  • EU students may be eligible for a Dutch tuition-fee loan (DUO).
