About the course

A four-year, 240-ECTS bachelor’s in business administration. The English Track is taught in English and can start at Cergy, Singapore or Rabat. Students also study other modern languages as part of the course. It is registered as RNCP36560 (level 6), and ESSEC says it is equivalent to the first year of a master’s (M1) in Management. The school holds EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA accreditation.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • There is no French national rule on Leaving Cert subjects or grades. ESSEC looks at your school transcripts from your last three years, plus your final results, as part of its own selection. It publishes no Higher Level or points requirement for Irish applicants, so confirm what it expects with ESSEC admissions.
  • If you are shortlisted, you have a 30-minute motivational interview in English with two examiners, by video (Zoom) or in person.
  • English: ESSEC says no test is needed if your last two years of school were taught entirely in English, which covers most Irish schools. If you attended a Gaelscoil or Gaelcholáiste, ask ESSEC whether you are exempt. Otherwise the English Track needs IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 90, TOEIC 850, Cambridge 175 or Duolingo 120. Your score must be no more than two years old at the application deadline.
