About the course

A four-year English-taught Bachelor of Science (240 ECTS) where you design, build and program electrical and electronic systems. From Year 3 you choose a major in Mechatronics, Sensors & Smart Systems, or Energy & Power Electronics; all first-years also take a compulsory 5-credit Dutch language module.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The institution assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm.
  • You need a qualification equivalent to the Dutch HAVO diploma, and Mathematics is required. Hanze does not state an Irish grade or level, so check with admissions whether Ordinary or Higher Level is enough.
  • The programme asks for IELTS 6.0 (not online), but Hanze’s general rules exempt bachelor applicants whose schooling in Ireland was taught in English.
