About the course

A three-year English-taught Bachelor of Science (180 ECTS) where you learn by working on engineering projects in an international group. Graduates get direct entry to Hanze’s master’s in Renewable Energy or Smart Systems Engineering, allowing a master’s in 4.5 years in total.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The institution assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm.
  • You need a qualification equivalent to the Dutch VWO (pre-university) diploma, with mathematics and physics at advanced level. Ireland is not listed among the country examples (UK applicants need 3 GCSEs at A*-C plus 3 A-Levels), so expect to need Higher Level Maths and Physics and confirm the grades with admissions.
  • Holders of a school qualification from the Republic of Ireland are exempt from the English language test.
