About the course

A practical, career-focused hospitality management degree taught fully in English, combining business and management subjects with hands-on hotel training. Students live on campus in first year and complete two internships and a real-world business project.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The institution assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm.
  • Every applicant attends a selection day (on campus or online) with a numerical test, a knowledge test, a written essay, an English test and an interview of about 30 minutes. The school’s selection regulation says you must score at least 60% on the numerical and knowledge tests to be admitted. No specific Leaving Cert maths grade is published.
  • English at CEFR level B2 or above is required. You must submit a TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS or Cambridge result unless you have completed at least 2 years of full-time education in English in the last 3 calendar years. Irish school leavers taught in English normally meet this condition.

Costs

  • Hotelschool The Hague charges its own institutional tuition fee, which is higher than the standard Dutch EU fee. The latest cost overview we could find for EEA students (2024/25) gives a tuition fee of €3,996 a year. The same overview lists first-year accommodation in the Skotel (the school’s training and study hotel) at €7,600, including breakfast, one meal a day during 40 school weeks and internet, plus about €750 for uniforms, a knife set and other practical items. These figures are from 2024/25, so check the current costs with the school.
  • EU students may be eligible for a Dutch tuition-fee loan (DUO).
Selective course: all applicants go through the school’s own selection day, and meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee a place. You need at least 50 of 60 credits in first year to continue (binding study advice).
