About the course

A business degree covering the main areas of management, such as finance, accounting, marketing and economics, with quantitative subjects included. It runs over 7 semesters.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Corvinus asks for a completed secondary school-leaving qualification equivalent to the Hungarian Matura. The Leaving Certificate normally meets this, but there is no points or CAO-style grade conversion, so confirm with admissions that your results are acceptable.
  • Maths requirement: Corvinus lists Irish Leaving Certificate Mathematics with a minimum of H2 (Higher Level) as proof of maths. If you do not have this, you must take the free Corvinus online maths entrance exam: 26 questions in 60 minutes (problem solving and data sufficiency), covering arithmetic, elementary algebra and geometry, with a calculator allowed.
  • English at B2 level: for example IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 65 or Cambridge First, or a native-speaker declaration uploaded with your application. Leaving Cert English is not listed as proof, and English being the language of instruction is not enough on its own.

How to apply

  1. Apply onlineRegister on the Corvinus application portal (expected to open around October 2026) and pay the €100 application fee before one of the round deadlines.
  2. Prove your mathsUpload Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths at H2 or above if you already have it, or sit the 60-minute online maths entrance exam in your round.
  3. Send English proof and transcriptsUpload your English certificate or native-speaker declaration, plus school transcripts. Final Leaving Cert results must reach Corvinus by 1 August 2027.
  4. Accept and payOnce you receive an offer, pay the first tuition instalment. €500 of it is a non-refundable registration fee.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Rolling admission through the Corvinus online application system. For September 2026 entry the portal opened in October 2025 and there were five rounds: 8 Feb, 22 Feb, 29 Mar, 3 May and 26 May 2026, each followed by exam dates. The 2027/28 dates were not published at the time of checking; a similar pattern is expected, with the portal likely opening around October 2026. Final school-leaving certificates must be submitted by 1 August. Apply early, as places are allocated round by round..

Costs

  • EEA students pay 1,980,000 HUF a year (roughly €5,000, depending on the exchange rate when you pay). Corvinus says the fee stays the same for the whole programme. There is a €100 non-refundable application fee. Once you meet the requirements you pay the first semester or year of tuition in advance, and €500 of that is a non-refundable registration fee.
Because Leaving Cert results arrive after most rounds close, most Irish applicants will need to sit the Corvinus maths exam unless they can prove H2 Higher Level Maths in time. The €500 registration fee is non-refundable.
