About the course

An English-taught business degree with an international focus, preparing students to work in companies that operate across borders. It runs over 8 semesters.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Corvinus asks for a completed secondary school-leaving qualification equivalent to the Hungarian Matura. The Leaving Certificate normally meets this, with no points conversion, so confirm with admissions that your results are acceptable.
  • Maths requirement: Irish Leaving Certificate Mathematics at H2 or above (Higher Level) is accepted as proof. Otherwise you must take the free Corvinus online maths entrance exam (26 questions, 60 minutes, arithmetic, algebra and geometry, calculator allowed).
  • English at B2 level: for example IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 65 or Cambridge First, or a native-speaker declaration. Leaving Cert English is not listed as proof, and English being the language of instruction is not accepted on its own.

How to apply

  1. Apply onlineRegister on the Corvinus application portal (expected to open around October 2026), complete the form and pay the €100 application fee before your chosen round deadline.
  2. Prove your mathsUpload Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths at H2 or above if you have it, or sit the 60-minute online maths exam in your round.
  3. Submit documentsUpload your English proof and transcripts, and send your final Leaving Cert results by 1 August 2027.
  4. Accept and payPay the first tuition instalment to confirm your place. €500 of it is a non-refundable registration fee.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: Rolling admission through the Corvinus online application system. For September 2026 entry the portal opened in October 2025, with round deadlines on 8 Feb, 22 Feb, 29 Mar, 3 May and 26 May 2026, each followed by exam dates. The 2027/28 dates were not published at the time of checking. Final certificates are due by 1 August..

Costs

  • EEA students pay 1,980,000 HUF a year (roughly €5,000, depending on the exchange rate), and Corvinus says the fee stays the same for the whole programme. There is a €100 non-refundable application fee. Once you meet the requirements you pay the first semester or year of tuition in advance, and €500 of that is a non-refundable registration fee.
Without proof of H2 in Higher Level Maths you must pass the Corvinus maths exam. The programme lasts four years and tuition is charged in Hungarian forint, so the euro cost moves with the exchange rate.
