About the course

It includes a summer placement at an external organisation and a thesis.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The University of Debrecen asks for a high school certificate (completed final year and passed final exams). It publishes no Leaving Cert grade or points conversion. Admission is decided by its own online entrance exams and interview. You can apply with predicted grades and show original certificates at registration. Confirm with the admissions office that your Leaving Certificate is accepted.
  • Online entrance exams in Mathematics and Physics, plus an interview. The university publishes exam topics and sample tests. Higher Level Maths and Physics are strongly advisable.
  • English: B2 (IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL paper-based 513). A certificate is not strictly required, because your English is assessed at the interview. Native speakers and students educated through English can be exempt.
