About the course

A three-year, English-taught BA in psychology (degree title: Human Behaviour Analyst), running since 1991 at ELTE’s Institute of Psychology. It covers the foundations of psychology as a first degree before a master’s.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Hungary asks for a completed upper-secondary school-leaving qualification equivalent to the Hungarian matriculation certificate. The Leaving Certificate normally meets this, but ELTE decides; there is no Leaving Cert points or H1-H8 grade conversion. You submit your final two years of school records. Confirm with admissions (admission@ppk.elte.hu).
  • Oral entrance exam (in person or on MS Teams): you get a psychology magazine article, prepare for one hour, then discuss it with examiners, followed by questions about your background and motivation.
  • English: IELTS 6.5, Cambridge B2 or TOEFL 79-93 is listed. ELTE does not say whether Leaving Cert English is accepted, so plan to take a recognised test.
