BA in Psychology

About the course

A three-year psychology degree taught in English. It covers the core areas: cognitive, social, developmental and personality psychology, neuroscience, and organisational, health and educational psychology.

Entry requirements for Irish students

• The University of Pécs asks for a completed secondary-school qualification, and the Leaving Certificate normally meets this. The programme page asks for school results of more than 70% (or above 3.5 on a 5.0 scale). There is no official Leaving Cert conversion, so confirm with admissions how your Higher and Ordinary Level grades will be assessed.
• All applicants sit an entrance exam, taken in person or via MS Teams. Its content is not described on the programme page.
• English: applicants who completed secondary education in Ireland are listed as exempt from an English test. Otherwise accepted tests include IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 72, Cambridge B2 and Duolingo 115.

How to apply

1. Check requirementsRead the programme page, and ask the faculty to confirm how your Leaving Cert results map to the 70% minimum.
2. Apply online by 30 June 2027Register at apply.pte.hu, upload your school results and the required medical documents, and pay the EUR 140 application fee.
3. Sit the entrance examAfter your application is assessed you will be invited to the entrance exam, in person or via MS Teams.
4. Pay fees and enrolSuccessful applicants receive a conditional acceptance letter and a tuition fee notice. Paying the tuition releases the letter of admission. Classes begin 1 September 2027.

Costs

• EUR 2,900 per semester for EU students (EUR 5,800 a year); non-EU students pay EUR 3,900 per semester. There is a non-refundable application fee of EUR 140.
