About the course

A practical design course on designing meaningful interactions between people, machines and systems, combining traditional and digital design skills with emerging areas such as AI, bio-design and responsive environments. It is taught entirely in English.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The institution assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm.
  • You need a school-leaving diploma comparable to a Dutch VWO, HAVO or MBO 4 diploma. No specific subjects are listed. In exceptional cases, if you lack this, the department may offer a competency test (fee €250).
  • Selection is by a PDF portfolio (maximum 100MB), a motivation letter, a CV listing techniques and software, an assignment (‘Design an object that triggers (social) interaction’) and an interview. EU applicants’ English is assessed at the interview.
