About the course

A Bachelor of Arts (240 ECTS) in making and understanding images, covering photography, theory, project development, bookmaking, graphic design, installation and moving image. It is practical and career-focused, offered full-time or as a 4-year part-time compact track (part-time is for EU/EEA applicants only).

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The institution assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm. KABK asks for a school diploma comparable to a Dutch VWO, HAVO or MBO 4 diploma (check the Nuffic website); in exceptional cases applicants without it may be offered a competency test (€250).
  • No specific subject requirements. Admission is based on a PDF portfolio (max 50MB) plus four assignments (‘Masters and Disasters’, ‘My Club’, a workbook of My Club and ‘The Archive’, max 20MB each), followed by an interview; EU applicants’ English is assessed at the interview.
