About the course

A 210-ECTS programme taught in English that combines economics with data analytics: three years of study followed by a half-year bachelor thesis. It includes two internships, exchange options with more than 100 partner universities and an optional double degree with BI Norwegian Business School (selection in the fourth semester, with a year in Norway at a 10% discount on BI’s fees).

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • ISM lists the Irish Leaving Certificate as an accepted school-leaving qualification, and current-year students can apply with a provisional certificate. ISM does not publish a minimum Leaving Cert grade. Foreign qualifications need recognition, either an SKVC decision or ISM’s own recognition procedure. Confirm with ISM admissions how your H and O grades will be assessed.
  • Selection is based on a motivation letter and an online interview of about 15 minutes on Microsoft Teams. Early-round applicants who receive a conditional offer can sit a scholarship test in Mathematics, English and Logic. For the scholarship, ISM’s regulations weight grades at 50% and motivation (letter and interview) at 50%. The programme is quantitative, so solid Leaving Cert Maths helps.
  • English: accepted proof includes the ISM English test (55+), IELTS 6.0, TOEFL iBT 60, Cambridge B2 (169+), PTE Academic 52 or Duolingo 115. The Admissions Committee may exempt applicants whose previous education was taught entirely in English, so confirm whether Irish schooling counts.

How to apply

  1. Apply onlineApply at apply.ism.lt and pay the EUR 100 fee. Upload ID, a photo, your school mark sheet from the last 1.5 years, a motivation letter and English test results if you have them. The 2026 dates were: early round closing 30 April, main round for visa-free applicants closing 24 July.
  2. InterviewTake the online interview of about 15 minutes on Microsoft Teams.
  3. Scholarship testIf you applied in the early round and received a conditional offer, sit the Mathematics, English and Logic test for a scholarship of up to 50%.
  4. Confirm your placeSign the study contract and pay the advance (EUR 500 in the early round, or one semester’s fee later). Agree with ISM when you will send your final Leaving Cert results, as they come out after the 1 August diploma deadline.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: These are the 2026 cycle dates, because 2027 dates are not yet published. Early admission runs from 1 November to 30 April and is the only round with the scholarship test. The main admission deadline for applicants from visa-free countries is 24 July 2026 (EU citizens should come under this, but confirm with ISM). The additional round for visa-free applicants runs from 22 July to 14 August. ISM asks for a copy of the final school diploma by 1 August, which is before Leaving Cert results come out, so ask ISM how they handle late Leaving Cert results. Expect similar dates for 2027 entry, and apply early if you want a scholarship..

Costs

  • ISM lists a standard fee of EUR 7,140 a year (EUR 3,570 a semester). ISM scholarships of up to 50% can bring this down to EUR 3,570 a year. There is a EUR 100 application fee. To accept a place you pay an advance: EUR 500 in the early round (non-refundable, but credited towards tuition) or one semester’s tuition in the main and additional rounds. ISM is a private university, so there are no tuition-free places. Check the 2027/28 fee with ISM.
ISM is a private university, so the full fee of about EUR 7,140 a year applies unless you win a scholarship, and scholarships are only competed for in the early round, which closes on 30 April. The diploma deadline of 1 August falls before Leaving Cert results are released, so raise this with ISM early.
