About the course

A six-year integrated programme taught in English in Kaunas, leading to an MSc in Veterinary Sciences, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Years 1 to 2 cover foundation sciences, Years 3 to 4 diagnostic and therapeutic subjects, and Years 5 to 6 clinical practice.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The university assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm. Your school transcript must show successful completion of Biology and Chemistry, and the Leaving Certificate is not on LSMU’s list of qualifications that exempt applicants from the entrance test.
  • Entrance test: an interview held a few days beforehand (minimum 5.0 out of 10) plus a 90-minute multiple-choice exam with 30 Biology and 30 Chemistry questions, taken online; results are given the next day.
  • English: TOEFL iBT 4.0, IELTS above 5.5 or equivalent B1 level; otherwise sit LSMU’s English test (minimum 50%).
