Entry requirements for Irish students

  • VILNIUS TECH’s country-specific requirements for Ireland ask for the Leaving Certificate, and provisional certificates are accepted for current Leaving Cert students. The general minimum is 60% of the maximum possible result in maths, in physics or another science or social science subject, and in English, and these grades are used to calculate an entrance score. No H/O grade conversion is published, so confirm with admissions. State-funded places through LAMA BPO also need SKVC recognition of the Leaving Cert first.
  • Documents: school results, at least 2 references, a motivation letter, a CV, a passport copy and a passport photo. After you apply, you record an interview through the application system and must finish it within 5 days.
  • English: accepted proof includes IELTS Academic 5.5, B2 First (160), TOEFL iBT 70, Duolingo 95 and others. Applicants who completed their previous studies fully in English do not need a test. Irish students should qualify for this, but ask admissions before booking a test.

How to apply

  1. Check your routeAsk VILNIUS TECH whether, as an EU citizen, you should apply through LAMA BPO for a state-funded place, on apply.vilniustech.lt for a fee-paying place, or both.
  2. Get SKVC recognitionIf you are using LAMA BPO, apply to SKVC to have your Leaving Cert recognised well before the LAMA BPO deadline.
  3. Prepare and applyGather your Leaving Cert results, 2 references, a motivation letter, a CV, and a passport copy and photo. Apply on the portal, pay the EUR 100 fee and record the online interview within 5 days of the invitation, and/or apply in the LAMA BPO main round.
  4. Accept and enrolAccept your offer and pay the first tuition instalment plus the EUR 200 registration fee if you have a self-funded place. Studies start on 1 September.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: No 2027 deadline has been published yet. Check apply.vilniustech.lt for the 2027 window. EU citizens who want a state-funded place through LAMA BPO must first have their Leaving Cert recognised by SKVC, before the LAMA BPO deadline. The main round usually runs in summer. Studies start on 1 September..

Costs

  • VILNIUS TECH’s fees page for 2026/27 lists EUR 4,201 a year for EU citizens on engineering, IT and technology bachelor’s programmes. Non-EU students pay EUR 4,950, which is the figure on this programme’s portal page. Every applicant pays a non-refundable EUR 100 application fee. A EUR 200 registration fee is paid with the first tuition payment after acceptance. EU citizens may also compete for tuition-free state-funded places through LAMA BPO. The 2027/28 fees are not yet published.
EU citizens paid EUR 4,201 a year in 2026/27, against EUR 4,950 for non-EU students. EU citizens may be able to compete for tuition-free places through LAMA BPO, but that route needs SKVC recognition of the Leaving Cert first.
