About the course

A four-year engineering degree, taught in English, in designing buildings and structures with modern design principles, calculation tools and construction technologies. It covers structural design, geotechnical engineering and construction management.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • VILNIUS TECH accepts the Irish Leaving Certificate. A provisional certificate is accepted only from current school-leavers. Its Ireland requirements page asks for at least 60% of the maximum possible result in mathematics, in physics or another science or social science subject, and in English. The university does not say how Higher and Ordinary Level grades convert to this, so confirm with admissions before relying on a particular grade.
  • Maths, physics (or another science or social science) and English are used to calculate your entrance score. The application also asks for a motivation letter, a CV, at least 2 references, a passport copy and photo, and a recorded interview done through the application system.
  • English: applicants whose native language is not English need a recognised test such as IELTS Academic 5.5 (no section below 5.5), TOEFL iBT 70, B2 First 160, PTE Academic 48 or Duolingo 95. The exemption covers applicants whose previous studies were fully in English. The university does not say directly whether Irish schooling counts, so confirm with admissions.
