Entry requirements for Irish students

  • VILNIUS TECH accepts the Irish Leaving Certificate. Provisional certificates are accepted only if you are finishing school that year. Its Ireland requirements page asks for at least 60% of the maximum possible result in mathematics, in physics or another science or social science subject, and in English. The university does not say how Higher and Ordinary Level grades convert, so check with admissions@vilniustech.lt before relying on a grade. You also need to apply within three years of finishing secondary school.
  • Your entrance score is calculated from maths, physics or another science, and English. The course page asks for a motivation letter and at least 2 references. The application procedure page says you record an interview through the application system and must finish it within 5 days.
  • English: the university accepts IELTS Academic 5.5 (no section below 5.5), TOEFL iBT 70, B2 First 160, C1 Advanced grade C, PTE Academic 48 or Duolingo 95. Native English speakers and students whose previous education was entirely in English do not need a test, so most Irish applicants should be exempt. Confirm this with admissions.
