About the course

A 3.5-year (210 ECTS) English-taught programme at VU Šiauliai Academy covering economics, mathematics, management, finance, law, marketing and accounting, with elective modules in finance and investments or the global economy.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Vilnius University accepts the Irish Leaving Certificate. You need passes in at least six subjects: two at H5 or higher, and the rest at O6/H7 or higher (for a Leaving Cert awarded from 2017). Provisional certificates are accepted from current Leaving Cert students, and final documents must be submitted before 20 August.
  • A motivation letter is required, and applicants who meet the requirements are invited to an interview with the admissions committee.
  • English: you need IELTS Academic 6.5+, TOEFL iBT 81+, Cambridge 176+ or another B2 equivalent. There are exemptions for native English speakers, so check with VU whether this applies to you.

  3. InterviewIf your application meets the requirements, you will be invited to an interview with the admissions committee.
  4. Confirm your placeSubmit your final Leaving Cert before 20 August and pay the year’s fee within 15 days of your offer.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: For the 2026 intake, the official deadline for EU/EFTA citizens was 1 July (1 May for non-EU/EFTA applicants), and final documents were due before 20 August. The 2026 round is now closed, and 2027 dates have not been published yet, so confirm them on apply.vu.lt. State-funded places use a separate LAMA BPO application, so check the timing and recognition steps with VU..

Costs

  • EUR 3,250 per year for EU students in a non-state-funded place in 2026/27, per the official vu.lt programme page (‘3 540 EUR for non-EU students / 3 250 EUR for EU students’). The apply.vu.lt course page shows EUR 3,540, so confirm your rate with admissions. Fees can change under national law. The annual fee is due within 15 calendar days of the offer. There is a non-refundable EUR 100 application fee. Tuition-free state-funded places may be available through the national LAMA BPO system.
This programme is taught at VU’s Šiauliai Academy in northern Lithuania, not in Vilnius, and lasts 3.5 years. The two official pages show different fees (EUR 3,250 and EUR 3,540), so confirm the EU rate with admissions.
