About the course

Covers biology from evolution, biodiversity and climate change to how the brain works, with lab and practical work across several domains. Taught fully in English.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Radboud accepts the Leaving Certificate (Established) with at least 6 subjects: at least H5 in 2 Higher Level subjects and at least O6 or H7 in the other 4, plus at least 350 CAO points. Meeting this does not guarantee admission; Radboud also looks at your grades, subjects and levels. This rule was published for 2026-27 entry.
  • You need to show enough knowledge of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics (Dutch VWO Maths A or B level). Radboud does not publish Leaving Cert grades for these; the Faculty of Science checks your level. Gaps can be made up with Boswell-Bèta or CCVX exams (at least 6.0 out of 10) or, for maths, the OMPT (OMPT-A at least 60% or OMPT-D at least 55%).
