About the course

A three-year, full-time management degree taught in English, run as an international study programme at ASE’s Faculty of Management. It covers the core areas of business management and ends with a bachelor thesis.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • EU citizens need a recognition certificate from CNRED, the Romanian national recognition centre. It costs 100 lei and takes about 30 days once your application is complete. Ireland is a party to the Hague Convention, so expect to need an Apostille on your Leaving Cert. Your results are then converted for ranking, and ASE ranks you on 70% final-exam (baccalaureate) grade and 30% high-school average. ASE does not publish how Higher and Ordinary Level grades (H1-H8, O1-O8) are converted, so ask its International Relations Department (internationaladmission@ase.ro).
  • You must pass ASE’s online English test on admitere.ase.ro (pass mark 50 out of 100, graded Pass or Fail) or submit an accepted language certificate. ASE does not say whether Leaving Cert English is accepted instead, so ask before you book a test. You also submit a signed motivation essay, graded Pass or Fail. You must pass the essay before you can sit the English test.

How to apply

  1. Get CNRED recognition (spring 2027)Get an Apostille on your Leaving Cert and apply to CNRED for a recognition certificate. It costs 100 lei and takes about 30 days once your file is complete, so start well before July.
  2. Register on the ASE platform (July 2027)Register on admitere.ase.ro, upload your documents and motivation essay, and rank your programme choices and funding preferences (state-funded or fee-paying).
  3. English testTake ASE’s online English test (pass mark 50/100) or upload an accepted language certificate.
  4. Confirm your placeAfter the results, confirm a state-funded place by lodging your original Leaving Cert, or a fee-paying place by paying half the annual tuition. Enrolment is finalised in the first three weeks of the academic year.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: In 2026 ASE ran bachelor admission sessions in July and September. The exact 2027 dates will be published on ase.ro and admitere.ase.ro. CNRED takes about 30 days from receiving a complete application, so get your recognition certificate well before the July session..

Costs

  • EU citizens compete for state-funded (tuition-free) places on the same terms as Romanians. If you are placed on a fee-paying place, ASE’s EU admissions page says you must pay half the annual tuition to confirm it. In the 2026 full-time admission, candidates paid a 3,250 lei fee when they registered, which could be refunded in certain cases (for example, if you were rejected or took up a state-funded place). ASE publishes its annual tuition in a separate fee schedule, which we could not open, so ask the university for the 2027/28 amount. CNRED recognition costs 100 lei.
You cannot be ranked until CNRED has recognised your Leaving Cert, so get the Apostille and apply to CNRED in the spring. Budget for fees in case you get a fee-paying rather than a state-funded place.
