About the course

A full-time marketing degree taught in English at ASE’s Faculty of Marketing, offered alongside the Romanian-language Marketing programme. It covers marketing and wider business studies.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • EU citizens need a recognition certificate from CNRED, the Romanian national recognition centre, which you lodge with ASE’s International Relations Department. Ireland is a party to the Hague Convention, so expect to need an Apostille on your Leaving Cert. ASE ranks you on 70% final-exam (baccalaureate) grade and 30% high-school average. ASE does not publish how Higher and Ordinary Level grades (H1-H8, O1-O8) are converted, so ask its International Relations Department (internationaladmission@ase.ro).
  • You must pass ASE’s online English test (multiple choice, minimum 50 out of 100) or submit a recognised language certificate. ASE does not say whether Leaving Cert English is accepted instead, so ask before you book a test. You also submit a dated, signed motivation essay explaining why you chose ASE and the programme. It is graded Pass or Fail.

How to apply

  1. Get CNRED recognition (spring 2027)Get an Apostille on your Leaving Cert and apply to CNRED for a recognition certificate. Start in the spring so it is ready before July.
  2. Register on the ASE platform (July 2027)Register on ASE’s admission platform, upload your documents (Leaving Cert, transcript, photos, motivation essay) and rank your programme choices (Marketing in English) and funding preferences (state-funded or fee-paying).
  3. English testTake ASE’s online English test (minimum 50/100) or upload a recognised language certificate.
  4. Confirm your placeAfter the results, confirm a state-funded place by lodging your original Leaving Cert, or a fee-paying place by paying half the annual tuition. Watch the 2027 calendar for the confirmation deadlines.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: In 2026 ASE ran bachelor admission sessions in July and September. The exact 2027 dates will be published on ase.ro and admitere.ase.ro. CNRED recognition takes a number of weeks, so get your recognition certificate well before the July session..

Costs

  • EU citizens compete for state-funded (tuition-free) places on the same terms as Romanians. If you are placed on a fee-paying place, ASE’s EU admissions page says you must pay half the annual tuition to confirm it. ASE’s fees page says tuition is paid in two equal instalments, due in the first three weeks of each semester. In the 2026 full-time admission, candidates paid a 3,250 lei fee when they registered. ASE has published notices on refunding it to some candidates, but the exact refund rules are in a separate document. ASE publishes its annual tuition in a separate fee schedule, which we could not open, so ask the university for the 2027/28 amount. CNRED also charges a fee for recognition, so check the current amount with CNRED.
You need CNRED recognition of your Leaving Cert to be admitted, so get the Apostille and apply to CNRED in the spring. Budget for fees in case you get a fee-paying rather than a state-funded place.
