About the course

A three-year bachelor taught entirely in English using international textbooks, covering microeconomics, accounting, statistics, business law, organisational behaviour and strategic management. Students can focus on management, marketing or finance, with optional German or French.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • Romania requires EU citizens to get a recognition certificate for the Leaving Certificate from CNRED, the national recognition centre (fee 100 lei, about 30 days, Irish documents need an Apostille). The faculty ranks applicants on their overall school-leaving (Baccalaureate) average, so your Leaving Cert results are converted for ranking. The faculty publishes no Irish-specific rule on subjects or Higher Level grades, so confirm how your H1-H8 and O1-O8 grades are converted with admissions.
  • Applicants take the faculty’s multiple-choice English test, unless they hold an English certificate from an institution recognised by the Romanian Ministry of Education (the 2026 page listed certificates from 2021-2024). The programme page asks for at least B2 English. The faculty does not say whether Leaving Cert English counts, so ask before relying on it.

How to apply

  1. Apply for CNRED recognition earlyGet your Leaving Cert and Junior Cycle documents apostilled and apply to CNRED for a recognition certificate by May or early June 2027; it takes about 30 days.
  2. Register online in JulyCreate an account on eadmitere.uaic.ro and register for Business Administration (in English) during the July window (13–18 July in 2026), paying the 400 lei application fee.
  3. Sit the English test or send a certificateTake the faculty’s multiple-choice English test, or upload an accepted English certificate if you have one.
  4. Check results and confirm your placeResults in 2026 came out by 31 July. Confirm your place and pay any tuition as instructed; a September session runs only if places remain.
Deadline for Irish/EU applicants: 2026 cycle: July session registration 13–18 July 2026, with selection and results 19–31 July 2026. A September session ran with registration 1–3 September 2026 and results 4–9 September 2026, if places remained. Dates for 2027 entry are not yet published; expect a similar July window and confirm on the faculty’s admissions page..

Costs

  • The faculty lists tuition of 4,500 lei a year for full-time study on fee-paying places (about €900 at current exchange rates; the exact euro amount depends on the rate). There is also a 400 lei application (registration) fee. EU citizens compete for state-funded (tuition-free) places on the same terms as Romanians, but the faculty does not publish how many places on this programme are state-funded, so confirm with the faculty. The CNRED recognition certificate costs 100 lei.
You cannot be admitted without a CNRED recognition certificate for your Leaving Cert, so start that process in spring, well before the July application window.
