About the course

A business degree covering the core business disciplines, with business challenges set by companies from the first year, electives such as risk management, Asian business, e-commerce and entrepreneurship, and at least one semester abroad. It is a practical, career-focused degree at a university of applied sciences.

Entry requirements for Irish students

  • The institution assesses the Irish Leaving Certificate individually and does not publish a fixed Irish requirement. Contact admissions to confirm.
  • Saxion recommends economics or maths at secondary level, but neither is required. Saxion does not give an Irish grade.
  • English: IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 80, unless exempt. You may be exempt if English is on your final results and your diploma is on the Nuffic list; email Saxion to confirm.

  1. Apply on StudielinkChoose International Business on Studielink and pick Deventer or Enschede, by 15 August 2027.
  2. Complete the Saxion portalUpload your Leaving Cert results or predicted grades and ask about English test exemption.
  3. Meet and GreetAfter 1 March you are invited to an online Meet and Greet. You can ask for an individual study choice check.
  4. Admission decisionStudent Registration confirms admission. Finish payment and documents by 31 August 2027.

Costs

  • Standard Dutch EU fee: €2,694 (2026/27). The 2027/28 fee is set by the Dutch government each year (expected to be close to €2,800).
  • EU students may be eligible for a Dutch tuition-fee loan (DUO).
